Friction clutches (friction discs, clutch packs) are clutch elements between gears in the automatic transmission device, which are necessary for turning on and transmitting torque. The clutch consists of a base (steel disc). A special friction lining is glued to the indicated disc.3\
The main task of the clutches is to close (compression) and open (release) at a strictly defined moment, due to which the required gearbox gear, which corresponds to a particular gear, stops or starts to rotate. The clutches are compressed and expanded under the pressure of the ATF.
