Dyna cooling systems work hard — heavy loads, long idle times at loading docks, and climbing Reef passes all punish radiators and water pumps. Our toyota dyna cooling range covers radiators (copper-core and later aluminium variants), water pumps, thermostats, fan assemblies (viscous and mechanical), radiator hoses, heater cores and expansion tanks across the 14B, 15B and 1HZ engines. Intercoolers for the 15B-FTE turbo variants can be requested used, typically from accident-damaged 8-145 and 6-145 donors.

Water-pump bearing whine is a common Dyna cooling failure, especially on 14B engines past 300,000 km. New aftermarket pumps run R1,200-R2,800 depending on engine and we strongly recommend replacing the thermostat and radiator hoses at the same service. Radiator repairability is better on the older copper-core units — a local radiator shop can re-core a leaking 14B radiator for R2,500-R4,500, often cheaper than a replacement. Fan clutches on the 1HZ 7-series commonly fail at 400,000+ km; used replacements are typically R850-R1,800.
